Congratulations to our MS basketball teams on completing the regular season undefeated and the number 1 seed going into the playoffs. Boys playoffs will be at home on Wednesday 1/22 and girls playoffs will be at home on Thursday 1/23.

Congratulations to Mrs. Addie Hart on being selected as the GSW College of Education Teacher of the Week. We are proud of you and thank you for all of your hard work day in and day out.

Students who registered and Paid for the School Day ACT are reminded that the exam will be on February 25, 2020. There is a list of students located on Mrs. Hernandez's door in the media center. If you signed up but did not pay by the deadline, your name was removed from the list.

Today Mrs. Hart will be honored at GSW as Teacher of the Week. SCMS/HS has declared today "Mrs. Addie Hart Day".

There will be Literary practice for all singers today until 4:30.

All 7th and 8th grade boys trying out for baseball must have all necessary forms turned into Coach Theiss by Friday, January 17.

Students taking classes at GSW during the Spring semester, please stop by the front office to pick up your books.

Varsity Basketball games at Crawford County have a change in times for today. No JV games. Girls Varsity at 2:00 and Boys Varsity to follow at 3:30. This is due to weather system coming in.

Game time changes today: JV boys at Crawford are cancelled. Varsity girls will tip at 2:00 and Varsity boys will tip at 3:30. Girls will leave the school at 12 and boys will leave at 1.

Students in the Education Pathway need to turn in permission slips for Future Georgia Educators day at GSW by next Tuesday.

High School track starts Monday after school. All paper word must be turned in in order to practice.

Yearbooks are still available for purchase! You can reserve a yearbook with a $20 down payment. Checks can be made to SCHS and given to Ms. Henderson.

If you signed up for the school day ACT, the cost is $43.50. Make checks payable to SCHS and turn in to Mrs. Hernandez. Please make your payment by Monday, January 13.

Just a reminder that the Young Scholars Application is due January 31st. This is a great PAID opportunity for any student who will be 16 by June 1st and is interested in scientific exploration under the guidance of a faculty mentor.
