All students entering the 7th grade must have several vaccinations. Those vaccines are Pertussis (Tdap) and Meningococcal Vaccine( MCV4). It will be necessary for all incoming 7th graders to either go to their local health department or pediatrician office to obtain these shots. Georgia has a no shot no school policy. The immunization for #3231 can either be brought into the office or I can pull all the information up on the GRITS software program that tracks all immunizations in the state of Georgia. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the school nurse. Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

All students entering the 11th grade must have a second Meningococcal Disease Vaccine(MCV4) unless their first dose is given on or after the 16th birthday. This is a state law that was implemented in the summer of 2020. It will be necessary for all incoming 11th graders to either go to their local health department or pediatrician office to obtain the shot. Georgia has a no shot no school policy. The immunization form #3231 can either be brought into the office or I can pull all the information up on the GRITS software program that tracks all immunizations in the state of Georgia. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the school nurse. Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

Reminder: Tickets for Wednesday's Elite 8 matchup with Wilcox Co. are only available through GoFan and the only passes accepted will be GHSA passes. https://gofan.co/app/events/990324?schoolId=GA15921

Have you ever tried to build your own kite? It’s a source of entertainment for kids around the world, particularly for the students at SCMHS and SCES.
On Friday, Dr. Albertson’s Geometry class joined forces with the third grade to create simple sled kites. Students decorated, cut and adhered their kites using paper, string, and paper clips. Students then added tails to their kites to help the kites fly more stable.
Want to build your own kite? Middle school students and parents are encouraged to join us Monday, May 8 for a Title One meeting (plus kite building) at 3:15 😃
Come join the fun and fly a kite!
