Mini cheer participant families:   Don’t leave getting in the gate on time Friday night to chance! Purchase wristbands ($10 each) for the whole family in the cheer camp pickup line Thursday afternoon or at gofan.co. Then, enter the game Friday night through the concession gate to bypass lines!

Iangtha Par read over 6,000 words for the week. Silas Par completed 14 IXL medals this week.  Both students are working hard in Mrs. Yarbrough’s 2nd grade class.

5th grade students are excited to kick off the Accelerated Reader (AR) program for this year. SCE has many exciting rewards planned for this year. Pictured are 5th grade students from Mr. Bishop's class enjoying their AR books.

In Ms. Shufflebarger's class, this week's top AR reader is Cavan Jacobs. The student with the most IXL objectives is Braxton Gordon. They are being rewarded by wearing our classroom Wildcat jersey for the day! Great job, boys!

Annual Back to School Reminders: *Please label your student's jackets and sweatshirts with their name! We have SO many lost jackets at the end of each year that are not labeled. *Please practice your student's 5-digit lunch/library number with them. It is important for traffic flow at breakfast, lunch, and in the library that they have this number memorized. They'll keep the same number for their whole school career! THANK YOU!

We all scream for ice cream! Tomorrow, Friday 8/26 we will begin selling ice cream to our K-5th grade students! All choices are $1. Students can give money to their homeroom teacher. All choices are low fat and meet nutritional guidelines for food served in schools! There is even a dairy free option! Thanks for supporting our school!
