We will be hosting a "pink out day" to support breast cancer awareness month tomorrow. We invite all students that would like to participate to wear pink tomorrow.

Mini Cheer Camp Participant Reminder:
No camp tomorrow! Please be at the middle school football game by 5:00 pm wearing your camp T-shirt. They will be called to the field just before halftime to perform. Admission to the game is $5. Camp participants get in free if wearing T-shirt! 🐾
Students in Mrs. Yarbrough's and Mrs. Mailhot's classes learned the truth about chocolate and vanilla. They read an informal piece and learned about the cacao tree and vanilla plant. Students then started a comparison writing to tell the likes and differences the two flavors had. They finished up their learning by enjoying some homemade ice cream!
Car rider parents, thank you for your patience this week as we have pushed back our opening time to 7:38 in order to accommodate for the change in our breakfast schedule.
We would like to remind everyone that the safest and most efficient way to drop students off is to go through the car rider line and not try to break in line by going through the athletic complex. This causes more congestion, disrupts the flow of the line, and creates an unsafe situation for everyone. Thank you for helping us get our students in the building safely.
Day 1 of Mini Cheer Camp was a success! Snack time may have been the favorite part! 😋 Camp will resume Monday, continue Tuesday, and the girls will cheer at the middle school game on Wednesday! Thanks for allowing your girls to participate! 🐾
School Access Points - Access points are located at Union Hill Church, Ebenezer Baptist, American Legion, Pecan Village, old John Lewis school, Shady Grove Apts, and the School Board Office. These access points provide filtered internet access for student school work.
The Wi-Fi connections display as SchoolBusInternetXXXX where XXXX is the unique identifier for the access point. The password for each access point is accessXXXX, where XXXX is the same last 4 digits as you see in the Wi-Fi connection.
There are limited data restrictions on each access point for each month. It is imperative to conduct only school related tasks while using school access points. We truly appreciate the community partners that have allowed us to locate the Wi-Fi Rangers on their property. Remember to be responsible and practice social distancing at these locations. We will keep you updated when more sites are added.

This week, our class learned reading and language skills and strategies by completing activities with Chapter 1 of Charlotte’s Web. The first 2 pictures are from today; we did a science experiment to show how our character felt at a certain point in the chapter (emotions & self control).
Attention parents, now that we have all had some time to get back into the swing of things, we will be returning to our normal arrival schedule of 8:15 on Tuesday September 8th. Please have students here by 8:15 so that we can have our daily schedule as normal as possible. Thanks for your help.
