First graders at Schley County Elementary are learning about animals. Students have been discussing ocean animals with the informational story At Home in the Ocean. They have been studying animal needs, appearances, and habitats in science. A field trip to the Flint RiverQuarium was an exciting way to learn more about animals. Students observed frogs, fish, turtles, and many other river animals at the aquarium. They wrote about some of their favorites when we returned to school. Students were able to learn many new facts about animals from the trip!
