Mrs. Usry’s 5th grade students from Schley County Elementary School enjoyed showing their character to Stay Drug Free. Students dressed up as their favorite characters to emphasize the importance of a drug free America. While students enjoyed being in character, they worked hard on summarizing featured texts and using descriptive details to retell a story. Students created a vocabulary bridge to demonstrate their understanding of key words from the text and conducted additional research to gather information on the writing topic.
