The fifth grade student council at Schley County Elementary organized a fundraising campaign to collect Coins for Cancer. The student council decided to give the donations to the Friends Against Cancer of Sumter County organization, which supports local cancer patients receiving treatment at Phoebe Sumter.
The grand total raised during four days of collecting coins was $2,882.94! The homeroom that collected the most money was Mrs. Eve Yarbrough's second grade class. They raised $451 in their class!
The student council thanks all of the families and friends who donated coins and helped us surpass our goal!
