Mrs. Dukes’ 4th grade science classes have been busy working on the phases of water and the water cycle. While covering evaporation, the students collected various types of slime. Each class stretched and flatten out the slime, pressed the pieces together, and left it out to dry. Over the course of several days, they were able to watch the process of evaporation. The students learned that we cannot see the moisture evaporating, but that the color and other contents of the slime remain as a piece of art to emphasize the importance of the water cycle.
