Friday, October 09, 2020

Students in Mrs. Matthews’ 1st grade class at Schley County Elementary School celebrated the start of fall break by making caramel apples. The students were able to observe the caramel candies as they melted. Then, they enjoyed dipping their apples in the yummy caramel. After enjoying their fall treat, they listed adjectives to describe their apple. Some of the adjectives they used to describe the caramel apple were; sour, yummy, hard, sticky and delicious! Finally, the students took a poll to see who liked the caramel apples and who did not. Caramel apples were a sweet treat for Mrs. Matthews’ class!
