Ginger Gilpin

Born and raised in Burke County, Georgia, Mrs. Gilpin has a deep love for the outdoors, family, and hunting.  Mrs. Gilpin received her Bachelors degree in Music Education from Mercer University in Macon, GA, and her Masters degree, also in Music Education, from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA.  Mrs. Gilpin joins the Schley County faculty after teaching for 12 years in the Bibb County School System and serving as an adjunct saxophone teacher at Mercer University.  During her tenure at Bibb County, Mrs. Gilpin was named Teacher of the Year in 2013 and 2017, was a 2016 Flint Energies Grant winner, and 2017 Peyton Anderson Teach to Inspire Grant winner.  

When not teaching band, Mrs. Gilpin enjoys jigsaw puzzles, all things Harry Potter, visiting National Parks, and watching soccer and college football (Go DAWGS).
